Hadass Gilboaa

Hadass Gilboa (b. 1983, Israel) is a Berlin-based artist working in printmaking, drawing, and installation. Her practice centers on paper as both material and carrier of knowledge. Her practice revolves around building a visual vocabulary of recurring symbols and tokens that accrue meaning through repetition and arrangement. At the heart of this process lies free association, a method that lets disparate elements of identity, tradition, and contemporary experience collide and reconfigure.
Gilboa holds a BFA in Screen-Based Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem and a BA in Art History from the University of Haifa. Solo exhibitions include Tapir Gallery, Berlin and Zimmer Gallery, Tel Aviv. Recent group shows include Summerfields (Schreiner 58, Berlin), The Current and the Yellow (KASKO, Basel), Last Summer (Kunstfabrik HB55, Berlin) and Still Here (Gallery181818, Berlin).
